I set up this internet site as the result of personal experience. My parents had difficulty finding relevant information about self harm. Typing self harm into an internet search engine is often a frustrating experience. Many of the sites on the internet are created by self harmers for self harmers, and the content and language can be difficult for people unfamiliar with self harm to understand. I hope that this internet site acts as an ’information hub’ for parents, pointing them toward resources that can help them .
